BIO:
Anatoli Vlassov is a tenser. He is a choreographer, filmmaker, and researcher with a dual Franco-Russian culture. Over the course of his career, he has created choreographies with street cleaners, with people with autism, and he has danced with a wireless endoscopic camera. He has also published a Tenser Manifesto and developed a performative practice that he called Phonesia, an articulation of dance and speech that works by rearranging the structural links between body and language. His shows, performances, and films have been shown at international venues and festivals and international universities invite him to teach. He is also carrying out theoretical research about his art creations in the frame of a PhD in Art & Science in Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Art&Flux -Institute ACTE - Paris 1 / CNRS). https://vimeo.com/vlassovanatoli

Since the beginning of the COVID lockdown, I have performed 51 live streams on my https://www.facebook.com/anatoli.vlassov. In this interactive performance, I propose that the audience give me words in real-time so that I can immediately transform them into what I call Phonesia, a talking dance that mixes words of the public and my dance gestures into a common flesh. Gradually, during these numerous performances, #DancesWithWords creates an unexpected wave of desire, since some spectators take the initiative to interact with me not only through isolated words (as was initially proposed) but also with poetry, objects, drawings, photomontages, sound compositions, video editing, and performances. In this way, #DanceWithWords becomes an ecological network. So we very much welcome you to cross the screen with us and, as Antonin Artaud said: "It’s through the skin that we will bring metaphysics into people's minds".
